Turbotech Successfully Obtains First-Time Production License for Power-Generating Turboexpanders from the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology
Turbotech has received the first-time production license for electric power-generating turboexpanders designed for use in urban gas pressure reduction stations (CGS) and power plants from the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology of Iran.
This license was issued based on the executive bylaw of Article (10) of the Law for Supporting Knowledge-Based Companies and Commercialization of Innovations and Inventions. The first-time production license aims to support the domestic manufacturing of sanctioned and strategic technological products, particularly those not currently available in the domestic market, to promote localization of critical equipment.

By using turboexpanders in gas pressure reduction stations instead of pressure-relief valves, the energy wasted in the pressure reduction process is used to generate electricity. Turboexpanders generate electricity without consuming fuel or creating pollution, and are considered energy recovery and clean energy generation equipment.
